You have to wash the area several times a day by filling up a little cup with a saline solution, and then put your nose in the cup and maybe even blow some bubbles into it. Hold it in there for about 60 seconds. You have to do this a few times a day to keep it nice and clean and to prevent it from getting infected.
Many people will ask about it and judge you as there is still a negative stigma around nose piercings. Some people will think it’s trendy or cool. Others will see it as a sign of civilization’s decay. Be ready for both.
Piercers can be awesome, baller people, but they can also not be specialists in what you want. Every piercer has their own particular style and training, and generally speaking you'll want one who has a waiting list, some very good testimonials, and a large portfolio of work similar to your design.
Getting a piercing and keeping it clean is a lot of work so make sure you are up for the pain as well as the after effects.
